John pulled her up yesterday at FVO in Ballard. Bottom was pressured washed. Plan is to repaint bottom red again. The last haulout using the black bottom paint was not satisfactory.
Hopefully, launch will be later this week before the 4th of July.
Random notes about a heavily constructed wood boat originally built for use as a British Columbia Forestry Service vessel. Currently, MV Hecate Ranger is privately owned and operated.

My first experience on the high seas was on the Hecate Ranger in the winter or 64/65. I was working in the Cruising Dept. of the B.C. Forest Service and fresh out of high school. We departed Prince Rupert BC for Queen Charlotte City and ran into rough seas. The captain decided to take shelter in a inlet off Banks Island where we would spend the day beach combing and waiting for calmer seas. We gathered quite a few glass floats that detached from the nets of the Japanese fishing boats. An excellent experience on a wonderful vessel. Ron LePage, Vernon, BC Canada
